Yakushima is a fairytale island of millennial cedars, and due to a maritime and rainy climate, a unique Shincha is cultivated. Before harvesting, the tea plants are shaded which is giving the first pick of the year sweetness, depth, and umami taste.
12 g tea leaves (6 level Teelamass) to 1 liter filtered water, boiled and cooled to 60°C/140°F (let the water cool for about 12 min. after boiling). Allow to brew 2 min.
