Description
It usually consists of three parts, a cup, a lid and a saucer. The gaiwan is suitable both as a teacup and for making tea. And this is how it works: Simply place tea leaves in the cup, pour in water at the appropriate temperature and close the lid. After the infusion time, simply tilt the lid at an angle to create a small slit at the edge. The tea can now easily be poured into a bowl or cup. The tea leaves remain in the gaiwan and can be used for further infusions if desired.
